Welcome To Rushwick Parish Council

Rushwick Parish Council represents the interests of local residents and works to protect the character of our community. We look after local amenities, respond to planning matters, and support projects that matter to people who live here. Our meetings are open to everyone, and we welcome your involvement.

Made up of elected councillors from across the parish, we meet regularly to discuss local issues and agree how best to serve residents. Our work covers everything from maintaining the village green and footpaths to reviewing planning applications and supporting local events. We work alongside Worcestershire County Council and the district council on matters beyond our remit, including highways and housing. Agendas and minutes are published for every meeting, so residents can follow what’s being discussed. We welcome you to get involved, whether by attending a meeting or getting in touch with a concern.

Discover The Parish Of Rushwick And Its Surroundings

Rushwick is a welcoming parish set among open countryside. Our fields, hedgerows, and quiet lanes shape daily life here. Residents enjoy a peaceful, rural pace close to nearby towns. We’re proud to call this parish home.

The parish covers a mix of farmland, woodland, and quiet residential streets, each with its own character. Footpaths and bridleways link the village to the wider countryside, offering walkers and cyclists plenty to explore throughout the year. Wildlife thrives in the hedgerows and open fields that surround us, and many residents take real pride in caring for these shared spaces. Local groups and volunteers play a big part in parish life, from maintaining green areas to organising seasonal events.

To find out more about the parish, our services, and how to get involved, take a look around this website. If you have a question or would like to speak to someone directly, please get in touch. We’re always happy to hear from residents and visitors alike. Thank you for visiting Rushwick.

How The Parish Council Works And How You Can Get Involved

Rushwick Parish Council exists to represent local residents and look after what matters most to our community. Councillors are elected locally and give their time voluntarily. We meet regularly and make decisions openly. Getting involved is easier than you might think.

Full Council meets several times a year, with additional committee meetings covering finance, planning, and amenities. Agendas are published in advance and minutes are posted online after each meeting, so residents can follow what’s being discussed and decided. Members of the public are welcome to attend and can raise questions during the public participation session. If you have a particular interest, from footpaths to finance, there may be a working group or committee where your input would be valued.

If you’d like to find out more, meeting dates and past minutes are available elsewhere on this website. You’re also welcome to contact the Clerk directly with any questions. We’re always glad to hear from residents. Thank you for taking an interest in your parish council.
